Description
The newborn screening profile 4 test is used to detect rare genetic, hormone-related, and metabolic conditions in newborn babies which may turn into abnormalities like Phenylketonuria (PKU), congenital hyperthyroidism, etc. For the test, the blood sample is collected from the baby’s heel after 24-48 hours of the birth with the consent of the parents.
