Description

In Multiple Myeloma (MM) research and diagnosis, isolating plasma cells, particularly CD138+ plasma cells, is crucial for various downstream analyses. These analyses include molecular studies like gene expression profiling, cytogenetic studies (FISH), and sequencing, as well as cellular studies such as flow cytometry. The isolation process often utilizes magnetic beads (immunomagnetic bead-based separation) targeting CD138, a cell surface marker highly specific to plasma cells.
