Description
This test detects the presence of Liver-Kidney Microsome Antibody in the blood. It is useful in the evaluation of patients with suspected autoimmune hepatitis. The immune system targets the liver in autoimmune hepatitis, causing liver damage. Itching, jaundice, an enlarged liver, stomach pain, nausea and vomiting are the symptoms of autoimmune hepatitis.
