Description

The test detects IgG and IgM antibodies to Leptospira bacteria, which cause leptospirosis–an infection transmitted through contaminated water or contact with infected animals, leading to symptoms ranging from mild flu-like signs to severe complications affecting the liver, kidneys, or lungs. The presence of IgM antibodies indicates a recent or active infection, while IgG antibodies suggest past exposure.
