Description
HER2 FISH (Fluorescence in situ hybridization) is a test used to detect HER2 gene amplification in breast cancer cells, which helps determine if a tumor is HER2-positive. It’s often used to clarify results from the initial IHC (immunohistochemistry) test. A positive FISH result indicates HER2 gene amplification and suggests the cancer may respond to therapies targeting the HER2 protein
