Fluid for malignant cells

Description

The test detects the presence of cancerous cells in bodily fluids collected from the pleural cavity (around the lungs), peritoneal cavity (abdomen) and pericardial cavity (around the heart). This test is performed due to excess fluid accumulation in these areas, which may be associated with cancer or other serious conditions. This test diagnoses the origin and staging of cancer and assesses the extent of disease progression.
