Description
A FISH panel, or Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization panel, is a genetic test that uses fluorescently labeled DNA probes to detect specific genetic abnormalities, often in cancer cells. A 7-probe FISH panel typically refers to a panel of seven probes used to identify specific genetic changes on chromosome 7, or more broadly in a myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) or other hematological malignancy
