Description
FISH (Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization) is used to detect the translocation or inversion of chromosome 3, specifically the t(3;3) or inv(3)(q21q26) and the associated RPN1-MECOM fusion. This is often done in the context of diagnosing and monitoring Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) and Myelodysplastic Syndromes (MDS).
