Description

The BioFire Blood Culture Identification Panel 2 (BCID 2) is designed to identify a wide range of pathogens and key antimicrobial resistance genes directly from positive blood cultures. Utilizing multiplex PCR technology, the BCID 2 panel can detect 43 targets, including Gram-positive and -negative bacteria, yeast and several resistance markers such as mecA/C, KPC, NDM, OXA-48-like.
