Description

IHC-TFE3, or immunohistochemistry for TFE3 protein, is a lab test used to detect the presence of the TFE3 protein in tissue samples. It’s often employed in the diagnosis of certain cancers, particularly those involving TFE3 gene rearrangements like alveolar soft part sarcoma (ASPS) and Xp11 translocation renal cell carcinoma (Xp11-RCC).
