Description
Genetic studies of couples and their products of conception (POC) are used to investigate the causes of pregnancy loss, particularly recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL). These studies analyze the chromosomes in POC tissue (e.g., from a miscarriage) to identify chromosomal abnormalities, and they also assess the couple’s genetic makeup for potential inherited conditions that could contribute to RPL.
