Description
FISH (Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization) analysis is a molecular cytogenetic technique used to detect common chromosomal aneuploidies (abnormal number of chromosomes) in products of conception (POC). Specifically, it targets chromosomes 13, 18, 21, X, and Y, which are frequently involved in aneuploidy leading to miscarriage or fetal abnormalities.
