Description

FISH (Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization) is a technique used to detect specific genetic abnormalities, like translocations, in cells, particularly in the context of Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma (NHL). In NHL, FISH can identify the presence of the t(14;18) translocation, which involves the IGH and BCL2 genes, a hallmark of follicular lymphoma and a feature in some diffuse large B-cell lymphomas.
