Description
Chromosomes 13 and 21 are two of the 23 pairs of chromosomes found in human cells. Chromosome 21 is particularly notable for its association with Down syndrome (Trisomy 21), while chromosome 13 is linked to Patau syndrome (Trisomy 13). Both syndromes are caused by having an extra copy of the respective chromosome.
