Description
Adenosine Deaminase ADA-CSF is a diagnostic procedure used to measure the level of the enzyme adenosine deaminase in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) in the brain and spinal cord. This test diagnoses tuberculous meningitis, a serious infection of the membranes covering the brain and spinal cord caused by TB bacteria. Elevated ADA levels diagnoses and differentiates this condition from other types of meningitis or neurological disorders.
