Description
Unconjugated estriol (E3) test measures the level of unconjugated estriol (unbounded estriol- a form of oestrogen) in blood. Unconjugated Estriol (E3) level in pregnant women is a useful marker of the overall health of the pregnancy and developing baby in the womb. Unconjugated Estriol (E3) is a screening test used primarily during pregnancy to detect genetic abnormalities like Down syndrome in the foetus and to monitor high-risk pregnancy.
