Description
The test measures the levels of PlGF, a protein used for development of blood vessels during pregnancy. This test is recommended to pregnant women to assess the risk of preeclampsia – a pregnancy complication that can lead to high blood pressure and organ damage. The test can be done during all trimesters, but doctors especially recommend it in the first and second trimesters. It is often performed alongside other marker tests to provide a comprehensive evaluation of maternal and fetal health, aiding in early detection and management of pregnancy-related disorders
